Precision is a fine organization and we have had success with them in the past however there proposal to replace a broken spring is $700 more than other bids we received for the same job. They are losing a good customer by overpricing their services.

Good news we scheduled online on Sunday for a next day appointment. Our technician Chris Figueroa came by at the allotted time and immediately went to work evaluating our garage door issues relevant to our older home. Remote openers weren’t working consistently, even with new batteries. Justin made sure the problem was actually the remotes and then set up a new opener for us. It was very easy to make an appointment and the company confirmed a couple days out. The technician called ahead with an ETA and the company actually sent a picture and name of the technician, so we could be assured the individual at our door was the tech.

My garage door would not open following all the storms we had recently. Chris came out and asked me a few questions. He immediately reset the GFCI and corrected the problem. While he was here I had him do the routine maintenance on the door. He thoroughly checked everything out. He was so pleasant and kind. In warranty motor started making grinding noise after spring repair. Chris’ “boss” claimed could not order parts. While on phone with lift master and tech, lift master stated parts available for repair before phone cutoff. Chris tried to sell me whole new assembly without confirming lift master would replace part. Chris claimed he would call lift master next day and call me back, never happened.Company only seems interested in selling new equipment at exorbitant pricing. I have spent approximately $5000 on my doors with precision in past 3years.

Rick Hernandez pinpointed the issues with my garage door and thankfully the issues were not serious and were an easy fix. He also made recommendations and suggested to replace weak parts with stronger ones, and I proceeded in replacing those parts. The door should now last longer without issues and a five-year warranty comes with the replaced parts. He did an exceptional job replacing the parts and taking care of the problem with the door. Called Precision for a garage door repair. The technician was selling a new system before he even took at look at the current system and diagnosed the problem. He obviously worked on commission. I knew then I would not be using their services but let them provide estimates. Called Garage Guru next and they came provided estimates as well. Garage Guru provided the same service with better equipment for $1,100 less. Needless to say, but I will never call precision again!

We used Precision Overhead Door in 2015. They did a great job. This morning one of the garage door springs broke. We set up an appointment on line and they were there shortly after they opened.
