Precision Garage Door Service of San Antonio

In warranty motor started making grinding noise after spring repair. Chris’ “boss” claimed could not order parts. While on phone with lift master and tech, lift master stated parts available for repair before phone cutoff. Chris tried to sell me whole new assembly without confirming lift master would replace part. Chris claimed he would call lift master next day and call me back, never happened.Company only seems interested in selling new equipment at exorbitant pricing. I have spent approximately $5000 on my doors with precision in past 3years.

Rick Hernandez pinpointed the issues with my garage door and thankfully the issues were not serious and were an easy fix. He also made recommendations and suggested to replace weak parts with stronger ones, and I proceeded in replacing those parts. The door should now last longer without issues and a five-year warranty comes with the replaced parts. He did an exceptional job replacing the parts and taking care of the problem with the door. Called Precision for a garage door repair. The technician was selling a new system before he even took at look at the current system and diagnosed the problem. He obviously worked on commission. I knew then I would not be using their services but let them provide estimates. Called Garage Guru next and they came provided estimates as well. Garage Guru provided the same service with better equipment for $1,100 less. Needless to say, but I will never call precision again!

We used Precision Overhead Door in 2015. They did a great job. This morning one of the garage door springs broke. We set up an appointment on line and they were there shortly after they opened. Our technician was Wesley. He did a great job. He explained the options to make the necessary repairs. No high pressure selling. The door works great now. Two years ago, I was charged what I considered an exorbitant amount. My need was to reprogram the remotes and keypad. The serviceman was here less than 15 minutes and did not assist in programming the keypad. I have never been able to program it to be usable. This week the company offered to send a serviceman to service the garage door opener. I made it clear that I would let him/her come, but the first thing s/he would need to do is to complete what was left undone two years ago. The serviceman refused to show me how or to program the key pad. "I can't do that." Would have taken a minute just to try or show me. He refused. He wanted to charge me first. I'll use someone else.

I needed my garage door aligned. Precision has done work for me before and did excellent work. So I called them again. Jonathan Hernandez showed up early and introduced himself. He asked me what the problem was and I showed him. He looked over the situation, told me what needed to be done, and made his estimates. I chose the estimate I wanted and he went to work. Chris Figueroa was excellent. He kept in touch concerning when he would arrive, and he was on time. Chris was friendly, polite, and very professional. He didn't try to pressure us to do more than we needed. He problem-solved very well as he had to figure out why we were hearing some unusual sounds when opening the garage door. I have had Precision replace/repair my garage opener/s a couple of times. This morning was the most recent. I will continue to use Precision in the future if needed. We've used Precision Overhead Door of San Antonio for decades, and our latest experience reminded us why. When our old opener finally broke, I called for help and Ricky was at my house within just a few hours. He didn't have the opener we needed on his truck, but despite the fact that it almost 5pm, he made calls and arranged for his co-worker, Brian, to bring one by. The two of them replaced our garage door opener and keypads and oriented us to the new system. They were both so friendly and fun that -- believe it or not -- we ended up having them stay and play a card game in our dining room after they were done! That was a first!
