Aside from the overall design, you get to choose from a variety of glass options for the windows, many wood-tone and paint finishes, and decorative hardware to really personalize your door.
Steel Garage Doors
Steel is the most popular material used for garage doors today because of its durability. Steel will look great forever and is virtually maintenance-free. It also has the advantage of being the least expensive garage door you can buy. If you're looking to add even more curb appeal, you can add decorative hardware to your steel garage door to create a carriage house style like the one pictured.
Carriage House Doors
Carriage house is a style, not a material, but it has become increasingly popular over the years. This door style gets its name from the swing-out doors of the past that were pulled open. Today’s doors have paired the classic look with the modern convenience of an overhead door.
Carriage house style doors are available in most materials, so they’re a high-demand design for homeowners of every budget. In fact, a steel carriage house style door might be comparable in price to a steel raised panel, or just slightly more.

Wood Composite Garage Doors
Wood composite garage doors are made of resin and wood fillers, making them a very green choice. Homeowners love these doors because they are completely maintenance-free, customizable, and add curb appeal to any home’s exterior.
Wood composite garage doors can be painted in various colors or finished with a stain-like paint to look like an actual wood door. Wood composite is becoming a popular choice among homeowners because of its unparalleled durability.
Glass Garage Doors
Glass garage doors radically beautify a home's exterior. They are sometimes called French Doors or Full View Doors. These contemporary garage doors operate in the same way as a standard overhead garage door. In contrast to the garage door's frail beauty, glass garage doors are durable and maintenance-free. There are many different glass options to choose from and finishes for the aluminum frame.
Aluminum Garage Doors
Aluminum garage doors also come in an insulated variety. Weather can have a major impact on your home. Aluminum garage doors give you the strength of an insulated door, while also providing the long-lasting & corrosion-resistance of aluminum. Aluminum doors can be customized in a wide variety, and it allows us to design the perfect garage door for your home.
Custom Garage Doors
All garages are built differently, so each garage door is ordered precisely to your home's specifications to ensure a secure fit and a flawless design.
Depending on the material you choose, you may also be able to customize your garage door's design, from something standard to something completely one of a kind. Precision will work with homeowners, architects, and designers to help match your garage door to your home's unique style.
2. Insulation
The energy efficiency of your new garage door will depend on how well it's insulated. This is most often stated in R-Value. The higher the R-Value, the more energy efficient the garage door.
There are 2 types of insulation used in garage doors: polystyrene and polyurethane.
Polystyrene is similar to the materials used in a foam cooler. It is less expensive than polyurethane and will provide a high R-Value. Polyurethane is spray foam injected into all the nooks and crannies and provides added stability and superior R-Value. It will typically be a little more expensive than polystyrene.
For example, an uninsulated garage door will have an R-Value around 8, while insulated steel doors can achieve R-Values between 13 and 19.
